Does a fresh installation of OSX automatically install all the necessary drivers? So i wouldn't need to manually install graphics drivers as i would need to do if i was using windows.
I'm assuming if i was setting up windows 7 via boot camp, i would need to manually install drivers?

1. If you're using a built-in graphics card, it does. If you installed one yourself, it might not.
2. You'll need to install the Boot Camp drivers.

OS X installs the drivers needed for OS X to operate. When you use Bootcamp Assistant, it will get the drivers needed for your specific machine and create a USB flash drive with all the needed drivers and files.
So upon installing yosemite, the 6970m drivers won't be installed automatically?
If they're for a built-in graphics card, they will.
