When I try to sync my ipod classic, I get an error message of 1439. It will not allow me to restore my ipod. Any suggestions?

I am having trouble syncing my ipod classic. The error message tells me that the ipod is corrupted. It will not sync and I cannot restore it. ITunes is working fine on my pc. I have reset the ipod and now it shows no songs, podcasts, etc. It still will not sync. Any suggestions?
