.ics not importing to calendar

Hey All

Got a Mac Book Pro 13" running OS X Yosemite 10.3.3 in November 2014

I am struggling to import .ics files into my calendar.

When I right click on the .ics file and select Quick Look Attachment it shows up but the real thing will not open up.

If the .ics file was created by someone with a Mac it opens fine but for windows users I can't open it.

As a work around I forward the email to a gmail address and then add the event/ics file to the google calendar.

My google calendar synch's with my Mac calendar and will there fore update it. The google synch then loads the event from google calendar into Mac calendar.

I took the Macbook into the Apple shop and they didn't know what to do.

So... what am I doing wrong and what can I do so that I can add .ics events to my Mac Calendar

Thanks

Warwick

The calendar program becomes active and just sits on the current date.

It does not add or display the appointment details.

It appears to only happen for ics files created on PCs

From those created on Mac's the system works as it should. When I receive appointment emails from the Apple One to One program the appointments add but not when from corporate clients using PC

If it would help, I can screen flow what is happening. Let me know if you want that

Thanks

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages

from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

View ▹ Show Log List

from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take the action that isn't working the way you expect. Select any lines that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

Some private information, such as your name or email address, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the log extract, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "The message contains invalid characters." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the text on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

This is the log when I drag an ics file to Calendar:

06/02/16 07:48:25,303 Calendar[4903]: [com.apple.calendar.store.log.itip] [request: Ignoring message because calendars exist, but they are all subscribed calendars: 040000008200E00074C5B7101A82E00800000000F0CBB9BBFF5FD10100000000000000001000000 0C9C56622E55F864C99812229247441E8]

All my calendars are on iCloud. So I've tried creating a new calendar, but that was also created on the iCloud account and produces the same error.

Can you help me?
