ipod wont charge!

I have an ipod 5th gen. that will not charge! It is out of battery and will flash the red charge symbol when tried to power on. Before the ipod died it said that the accessory may not be reliable becuase it is pretty much a fake even though i had used multiple chargers. My charger that I normal had used said this in the past but I just dismissed it and it worked fine! But now the charger and four others that I have tried do not charge it at all? I have checked for debris in the socket but there is nothing. PLEASE HELP!
