Q: Link preview on a non-force touchpad

As you are probably aware, the new early 2015 rMBP and the New MacBook use a force touchpad which, when force clicked, allows, among other things, for a feature called “link preview”. It is described by Apple as “Link previews: Force click a link in Safari or Mail to see an online preview of the webpage” which you may find below:

Using a Force Touch trackpad - Apple Support

I own a prior generation rMBP that does not have force touchpad running on Yosemite 10.10.3 with Safari 8.0.5 and I occasionally previewed links by chance. I researched the web and tried to find how I could do this to no avail.

Does anyone know how I can use preview links on a non-force touchpad?

Thanks!
