iPhone 6 : Auto Brightness Issue After Updated To iOS 8.3

Hello To All,

First Time User of Apple Products.

I Bought iPhone 6 Few Months Ago. And Happy With Use It.

Yesterday, I Got Notification About Update of iOS From Version 8.2 To 8.3

I Downloaded And Updated iOS And Done Successfully.

But From Today Morning, I Felt And Noticed That "Auto-Brightness is Not Working"

So Any Recommendation For Roll Back To Previous Version Of iOS Until Stable Version Will Be Available.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Reksh

there is a trick which is a some kind of workaround... but nevertheless there is something wrong with that feature

but symptoms first (at least for me)

- auto brightness is on

- moving from dark room to bright room - always works

- moving from bright room to dark room - never works

====

What works for me is to just turning the screen off and turning it on again when I am already in a dark place. Then brightness is adjusting itself as it suppose to, and I always need to do that.

... maybe this is a "feature" which suppose to work like that by design 😝 😉

Cheers!

You can't downgrade iOS levels.

I am having no problems with Auto Brightness on iOS 8.3 so I doubt that it is the cause of your trouble.

Try the standard troubleshooting steps in this order:

Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds). No data will be lost.

Restore: Connect your device to iTunes on your computer, backup, and then select Restore to Factory.

If none of these work your device may have developed a hardware problem. Contact Apple Support: http://www.apple.com/contact/

I got this symtom too. It,the auto brightness in ip 6, is actually NOT "not working" at all, but it's not stable. When you're about to move from bright place to dark place, sometimes it worked as expected, sometimes it do NOT reduce brightness to adapt to the dark environment (the auto brightness is set to ON,of course), this occured sinced I updated from iOS 8.2 to 8.3 (all are official version). Also tried to do a clear restore my iphone 6 from itunes on PC but not help.

Hi Apple guys, please help to investigate this and fix ASAP. Thanks

I can confirm the same thing.

If I move from a bright room to dark room or vice versa the screen brightness does not change. I went to a dark area, turned Auto-Brightness off and moved it to the lowest brightness level. Turned Auto-Brightness back on and moved to a brighter area. The slider moved and the screen became brighter. Moved back to the dark area and the brightness once again did not change. I have tested this on both my iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6. Restarting the devices does not resolve the issue.
