Q: Photos & iCloud Photo Sharing not working

in the new Photos on my mac, I am selecting a set of photos, clicking on Share, iCloud Photo Sharing, creating a new album, specifying an email and clicking Create.  Then NOTHING happens.  No album, no email sent, nothing.  I have turned off iCloud Photo Sharing on all devices, then after a wait, turned it back on. I get the message 'Updating Library'. Try again, nothing.  Any other ideas?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

    No solution but wanted to add on to your thread to say I have same issue. Maybe one more person will make Apple fix it.

     

    My symptoms:

     

    - In Photos, click on 'Shared' and don't see any of my shared albums (iCloud Photo Sharing is tuned on in preferences)

     

    - Try to share photos in a new iCloud album. Window shows up to create it and invite people but nothing gets created (can see the existing albums on other devices).

     

    Very frustrating. Last time I go with an Apple v1.0 product.

    I've tried rebooting my Mac, too. It sometimes helps but not always.

    Ok - But thread is well over a year old - why are you running year old software that has had 6 or more updates and lots of bug fixes - update to the current software (El Captain OSS X 10.11.6 and Photos 1.5 and you should be fine - it is really a good idea to stay up to date expecially when you are having problems with old software
