How can I select/deselect photos for the iCloud in the new photos app? My iCloud storage is full

Hi there

I have recently installed the upgrade on my MacBook Air and the new photos app is driving me crazy! I want photos from my iPhones to download to the Mac through iCloud but I don't wall ALL of my photos from the Mac on iCloud. Is there a way to archive photo albums so that they do not appear in iCloud and therefore reduce my storage requirements?

The photos app is meant to be a huge improvement on iPhoto and so far I don't see any......
