RANDOM RESTART

I have a Mac Pro, with a Processor Name: 6-Core Intel Xeon, Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz, Number of Processors: 2, Total Number of Cores: 12,

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB, L3 Cache (per Processor): 12 MB, Memory: 16 GB, Processor Interconnect Speed: 5.86 GT/s, Boot ROM Version:

MP51.007F.B03. The system has OS X 10.10.3 OS Yosemite Update 1.0 installed.

The Mac Pro will randomly restart at least once a day either during sleep mode or if I'm actively working on the computer. It has two Drobo hard drives attached

to it. One drive is the Light Room library backup and the other is for the Mac Pro hard drive. A partial report of the last restart follows:

According to wikipedia, Kromtech is the new owner of MacKeeper, one of the most loathed and useless bits of Junkware out there. As long as you have that installed, it is no wonder you are having problems.

If you also have some form of Trustee software installed, that is TWO Anti-Virus-like packages, a known way to disable your Mac.

Everything you need to maintain your Mac in perfect working order shipped in the box it came in, except for a Backup Drive. No third-party software is needed or desirable for maintenance.

You also appear to have an Atto driver installed, but no Atto cards.

Apr 21, 2015 7:14 AM in response to Grant Bennet-Alder

Thanks very much Grant for helping out. I have removed MacKeeper and will wait to see what happens re: auto restarts before I take further action.

Having said that, can you tell me more about Atto driver? There seems to be many files titled AttoXXXX. Not sure what to do with then.

Also, I have an ap call CleanMyMac 2 and another titled Jettison. Should I remove them as a matter of principal?

Thanks again your help is very much appreciated.
