backspace, space and letter "ø" is not longer responding on my keyboard. Problem appeared after software update.

after software updating several keys on my keyboard has stopped responding. I have tried reinstalling without any luck. Any ideas or solutions?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Please reset the SMC, this may take 2-3 attempts. If the problem persists try another keyboard, if the replacement keyboard works then that means your keyboard needs to be replaced.
