I Phone 6 - how do I delete individual text messages within a text conversation. There is no delete except for delete all.
iPhone 6, iOS 8.3
Swipe the message to the left, select delete.
There is a way to delete an individual text...
Go to the text message you want to delete. Hold a message for a second. Copy/more will pop up...tap more. A box will show on the left. Tap the box and then tap the trash...it will delete the individual text, not the thread.

Thank you but this function no longer works as you describe it above.
The trash bin used to be located in the bottom section of the screen. When I hit the "more" and select the particular text messages I wish to delete the trash bin is not visible in the bottom section. So after highlighting the particular messages there is only Delete All and Cancel at the top. Delete all will delete all the messages so I cannot save a particular message.
I'm having the same problem - VERY frustrating - I want to keep some of the conversation for some of the info and dates. there is NO trash can now - you have to delete the entire conversation. Also Csound1 - that option deletes the entire conversation.
