As you can see from the image, I am having difficulties installing an installation package. Clearly my OS X is newer than advised but it is still failing to install.
Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
Just where are you downloading it from?Not infrequently that error meas that it is not compatible with the OSX version on your Mac.
A lot of manufacturers to not keep updating their drivers for later OSX versions and do not requires the phrase OSX Y or later.
I am downloading a Sharp Driver for their Aquos Boards. It does say on the description for OS X 10.9 but they did not have anything for OS X 10.10 yet. (Bare with me, I typically use Windows/Ubuntu) I want to install the files so they can get touch for the monitor working.
Since they do not say Yosemite then I would say the existing drivers are not compatible.
I can't install software when It says I need > 10.6 and I have 10.10
