where is wps button airport extreme

Apple does not use a WPS button on the AirPort Extreme.

Instead, use the First Attempt option in AirPort Utility under Add WPS Printer, as it is virtually the same thing as holding a button in, except that you are doing it with software, not with a physical button press.

Nice, but i don't have a Mac, with the airport utility arround. Just an IOS device with the useless ios airport utility version wich does not contemplate a WPS button :-(

Please look just a bit more closely at your "useless" version of AirPort Utility for iOS.....and you will find that it is not so "useless" after all.

Tap AirPort Utility to open

Tap on your AirPort device

Tap Edit

Tap Advanced

Now the hard part....scroll down to see Add WPS Printer......in blue.....so that you can see it.

Thanks Bob - I'm using a DLink AC750 Extender (http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-AC750-Gigabit-Extender-EX6100/forum/-/-/1?_encodin g=UTF8&asin=B00HHRP11C. Everything works except the password that I use to log into my network does not work although I know I'm typing in the correct one. Any advice on this? Thanks!

I never could get the "Add WPS Printer" to appear on my iMac. But it readily did on an iPad! Go figure. So use an iOS device if a Mac doesn't show WPS printer. Unfortunately for me I only discovered this after spending more than an hour tortuously entering a difficult password.

As a recent convert to MacOS from Windows, let me join the chorus of complaints about the ****-poor way Apple handles WPS.

I know this post is a year old... but you are officially at the VERY top of my Christmas list! If you were in Tokyo I'd buy ya an Asahi!
