So, my friend just gave me a hand-me-down IPod of hers. It says it needs to connect to ITunes, but when I plug it into my computer, ITunes says that I need to enter the passcode to unlock the IPod. I know the passcode, but the IPod won't let me open it- the "slide to unlock" thing simply wasn't there.
iPod touch
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
