iTunes 12.1.2.27 and Android 5.0

i recently updated my Galaxy S5 phone to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, and i can't get the artist name and artwork to come up on my phone. i've talked to samsung and done everything that they have told me, but now i think it's an itunes problem. it's says unknown artist, and no artwork has been shown. these are song that i have bought from the itunes store recently.this has happened after i've updated to itunes12.0.songs that i have purchased in the past show up properly.. . i've have to convert them to mp3 in order for them to show up on my phone. how can i avoid this? i love buying music from itunes and have had no problem in the past.
