photos app keeps loading

Recently Installed the new photos app. When the app is running my computer gets very hot 203F, per stat app. Photos app says it's uploading 7000 pics, but it never finishes. I have to force it to quit. Then my computer cools off quite quickly. Which begs the question, how hot is too hot?

Any help would be appreciated.

When the system slows down the processor to protect itself.

BTW, migrating a large library takes many hours, or even days, so give it time before quitting. If it slows down your Mac performance too much, you can pause the process in Preferences > iCloud, then resume it during the night, for example.
