tif image disappearing in Preview

Hi,

I recently started having an issue viewing TIF files in Preview. It was working a few days ago and I'm sitting next to my wife who's on her computer viewing the same images fine. It loads for just a second then disappears. When you try to zoom in and out using the pinch method on the track pad it becomes visible. The thumbnail also shows in the Finder window.
