My IPhone6 will not connect as a device to any mac or pc. Im trying to sync my phone, but the device cannot be found. Can someone please help?

I need help in figuring out why the phone will not appear as a device on any Mac computer.
Is it because of the fire vault? Recently I have been having issues with the fire vault.
Should i re-istall itunes?
Please help.
