can Apple TV connect to a 5G wifi network?
I'm looking to purchase a wifi extender as the wifi signal near my apple TV is weak.
Want to know if I should get one with a 5G signal?

I believe it used to say so right in the tech specs but for whatever reason they don't spell it out anymore. But, yes, it does support 802.11n 5GHz.
I wouldn't buy any piece of WiFi infrastructure gear at this point that didn't include 5GHz.
