need to update my apple tv 2 software using itunes....But I cannot see my device in itunes. Please help.

Hi Kiran, If you are trying to update your apple tv 2, you will need to goto settings, General, Look For "Software Update" and go into it, Then Simply Press Update Software🙂
Hi, Edey1029, Thank you for your time. I tried this option but its not updating... Its not going, i even tried resetting but its not working. My apple tv showing the very old software 5.0.1. So, i thought i can update using itunes but its not. Let me know if we have other options...
the only devices which should up in itunes under devices are devices which can be synced to appletv2 and up can't
they can access the shared itunes lib of a running computer and they can be used by OS X and ios devices using airplay
the only time they show up in devices is if they crashed and the user connected them with usb cable to the computer for the sole reason of salvaging the ruined firmware
atv2 does not show up in itunes
