Shared video not playing fully

HI I hope somebody can help. I have shared a video from final cut and it says share successful but when I play it back it only plays about half !? The video is an hour long but I have shared it many times before with minor adjustments to it. Since I last shared it I have changed one clip but that part plays fine. I have recently updated final cut and deleted a load of rendered files as they we're eating up a lot of space. I did render the video again before sharing again last night but the same thing happened.

You don't need to render before exporting.

If you open Get Info in the Finder, what does it report as the duration?

Usually this means you made a selection on the timeline, so that selection is exported.

I Will check when I get home, but when playing back the whole video length shows as if its there but the file size is smaller than it should be . It's just over 60 minutes and stops at about 20 and the time carries on going. When I drag the search bar forward the last 40 minutes then just goes black.

Thanks. When you can, take a screen shot of the open project window and post back. Hit Shift-Z before you do to make sure the entire sequence is displayed,

Before sharing the file size looks to be correct as if the whole thing is selected.

just checked the duration in get info and it shows about 3 min longer than it is!!??

The deatination for my shared project was a USB which I always save this project to. I tried saving a smaller project to my desktop and it played fine. I then saved the problem project to my desktop and now it's playing fine.

Glad it's now working. Just now have been able to revisit the thread and FWIW, i didn't see anything in your timeline that would cause the problem.
