What`s the Thunderbolt for

Can any body tell me what can you attach to the Thunderbolt port,and the Fire Wire port.

Can you attach a monitor to the Thunderbolt port?

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Mac Mini 2007

Yes: Apple Thunderbolt Display

OS X Yosemite: About Thunderbolt

I have two Apple Thunderbolt Display attached to a Mac Mini (Late 2012).

The first display is connected to the Mac Mini the second display is connected to the first one.

Thanks you both for giving me a simple answer that I can understand,but I am afraid that I am not

going to buy an Apple Thunderbolt Display.

I have just had a look at the Apple Thunderbolt Display which cost $999 or in my currency £665 is way over the top

when I could buy a really good monitor for half the price.

What I really meant was could you attach it to the monitor I have which is a Samsung 27" HD Display.

Plus their are connection`s at the back which I do not know what they are for I just thought that you could attach the

Thunderbolt cable from the monitor to the Mac Mini.

The 2007 Mac Mini has one DVI video output

Then for VGA input on display he needs a DVI to VGA adapter

You can also get a DVI to HDMI adopter but that does not included audio

What is link to the Samsung 27" HD Display that you have?
