Q: Can anyone suggest a good way to organize photos in Photos ?
What I am trying to do is figure out a way to organize my Photos library like I did with iPhoto.
Photos seems to have retained the events I had in iPhoto, but not as "events" and there seems
to be no way to automatically have photos downloaded and put in events by date? Is that right?
I got into a quick and easy habit of downloading my iPhone/iPad photos into iPhoto as one
event per day. I would label each even as YYYY-MM-DD-description so they would all
sort chronologically, and be easy to find and access.
Is there any way to do this. My first download from the iPhone just dumps all the photos into
the library, but I do not see an order to it.
How do you work the import and management of your photos in this new app?
To me this thing just does not work, even as well as iPhoto, which I never that was really
fantastic anyway.
You cannot even change the background that you view your photos on from glaring bright
white ... and they hide the left/right scroll hot spots and put them way out on the edges
of the screen so it takes the maximum time to move your mouse around.
This is not like a decades old computer company, this is like some novice programming
making stupid errors from the very beginning. Does anyone know of a good tutorial
that can makes sense of Photos and explain what it is that I am missing that makes
this app so great?
The main point of this app seems to be to try to trick users into using more iCloud
space.
