I use a mid - 2012 Mac Pro; run Mavericks. I've just connected my AppleTV to my SONY TV using Archer C7 Wireless Router. Now I need instructions as to how to "mirror" my SONY TV to my Mac Pro Monitor.😕

I'm not 100% sure I understand your question - so please tell me if I have it wrong.
You can't mirror media from Apple TV to a Mac - but any media you have saved to iCloud can be viewed on a Mac.

Airplay is an included technology on OS X.

Thanks, greg sahli!!🙂 I just talked to Apple Support on the telephone; bad news; my computer: Mid 2012 Mac Pro "does not" allow for Mirroring via AirPlay. It does allow for Home Sharing - which I have set up. Most of my videos and music is set up to play on VLC. Would you help me to enable iTunes to play my VLC videos and music?😕
You could try AirParrot, which provides AirPlay features for Macs do not have the right WiFi chips.
That's sad news - the other Mac models 2011 and newer can airplay - but Mac Pro must be 2013 and newer...
