I am trying to use a divide function in a numbers spreadsheet on my iMac the slack key works perfectly in pages or text edit, but when i try to use it in a formula in numbers it types as a +
Any ideas please, cannot make my spreadsheet without it.
I am using Yosemite and have the latest backups

Type a forward slash "/" for divide. Numbers changes that to the divide sign ÷ which looks like a plus sign, but in a larger font size is ÷
Formula in D2 (and Fill Down)
=B2÷C2
In a larger font size,
=B2÷C2

Take a closer look. I think you will see the classic division sign- the line with a dot above and below.

No when i type that slash it shows up in my formula as +, I've tried the / key here and in pages and it works but doesn't when i need it in my formula box.
Thats why i am confused.
