May 4, 2016 4:38 PM in response to tbfroby Chuck Bevitt,Worked for me too - new Quiet Comfort 20 for iPhone, etc. iPhone 6 Plus. None of the three control buttons worked at all until I cleaned out the iPhone's jack then they work correctly.
Specifically what I did was to take a little double sided Scotch tape and wrap it around the end of a paper clip. The I fished it around in the iPhone jack. Didn't see any lint come out but it fixed the problem.
I think for some reason Bose makes their plugs just good enough - note that everyone is saying that the Apple ear buds were working in the same device - any small problem and they quit. I had a somewhat similar problem with Bose Quiet Comfort 25 headphones - had to send back 2 pairs - when their audio cable was plugged into the headset, if anything jiggled it then one or both of the audio sides would cut out.
A pity that a market leader like Bose seems to be going cheap on their plugs and jacks.

Jun 19, 2016 7:02 AM in response to Filiqby mams2000,Hey guys, I'm having the same issue. My soundsport headphones do not control anymore my iPod Nano. The weird thing is that they do control my iPhone 6 and that my BoseQc20 controls do work on my Nano. I tried to clean my Nano's mic jack but it still isn't working. Any help would be appreciated. -
