iPhoto and "My Photo Stream" not syncing correctly...

Hi,

When I take a picture with my iPhone 6 running iOS 8.3 I have it set too automatically upload to My Photo Stream.

I then usually do weekly maintenance on My Photo Stream on my iPhone of the pictures that I no longer want on My Photo Stream.

Now when I go to my iMac running 10.10.2 with iPhoto, not the new Photos App, some of the old photos that I have deleted from My Photo Stream via my iPhone get download to my iMac. Why?

I thought when I delete the photo from "My Photo Stream" it gets deleted from all my devices.

If you have your iPhoto/iCloud preferences set as show in this screenshot

each photo that goes into the My Photo Stream will also be imported in an Event in your library. This copy is independent of the version in the My Photo Stream. So if you delete the photo from the My Photo Stream it will still exist in the Event for the month it was taken.
