IPad deleted music

Hello,

the other day I noticed that my iPad 3 had deleted every song that I didn't buy off the iTunes store (songs ripped from CDS). I restarted my iPad, updated the software and tried manually putting said songs back on, it still,didn't work.

Any advice or help to correct this issue would be much appreciated,
