When I try to do an app update my phone asks me for my password from my old Apple ID even though I've already changed it

i recently changed my Apple ID and password because I no longer have the email my old Apple ID was associated with and I had forgotten the old password. Now I'm trying to update some game app on my phone but the screen is asking me for my password from my old Apple ID what the heck is going? I've already done a reset on my phone and my new Apple ID shows up on my phone, but when I'm trying to do an update it shows my old Apple ID!!!!! Please help me

You are trying to upgrade apps purchased using your old Apple ID to which they are permanently connected.

The problem is that the game was downloaded with your old Apple ID. You'll need to delete the game and re-download it, and that will download it under your new Apple ID.
