facetime when screen is locked

I want to set up my imac with facetime as monitor surveillance camera, so i can check from my iphone what is going on. I have run the script to accept incoming calls and connect automatically but i cannot see anything unless the screen is unlocked in the imac. Is there anyway to by pass that? Thanks
