Since Yosemite, can't send images over iMessage

Running 10.10.2 on a MBP.

There are threads about this but that are so long - I'm lost. Please help! Thanks!

Since upgrading to Yosemite, I can no longer send screenshots or other images successfully within a chat with colleagues. It looks like it sent on my end, but the recipient gets an error. I've seen threads on this, but they are so long I can't find the solution.

Can anyone tell me (e.g. Ralph seems to be the guru on this?) how to solve this problem? What steps do I need to take to get that working again? It's really important to our small team to be able to add images to our chats.

Thank you!

Scott

Hi,

Short answer.

Try Zipping the files first.

Not Ideal but some report that it is a workable workaround to some extent.

Longer answer.

I have seen a Log output today of the issue which points to a faulty SOAgent helper app issue.

There are several helper apps that support both Messages and FaceTime.

I have no further info at this time.
