When using copy and paste on my iPad, my previous copy is still there. How do I get rid of it for a new copy? I have iPad Air 2 using iOS 8.3. Thank you for any help.

The new copied material replaces the previous copied material.
Is that not happening? What are you trying to copy?
I Was trying to copy from an online journal, but I just now tried from a newspaper to see if it would get rid of the old copy and it did! Must have been just a glitch. Thank you for your help!!
