Swapping My iPhone 6 for 6 Plus?

I purchased the iPhone 6 last November and wished I had instead got the 6 plus. Since my mom is upgrading her phone soon, is it possible for her to buy the iPhone 6 Plus and she take my 6? Just switching the SIM cards? (We're both under the same contract w/ AT&T)??
