Can I add iCloud drive icon to upper right part of desktop

I access the iCloud drive frequently, and would like it to appear in the upper right part of the screen Can this be done?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

As in the menu extra area, commonly referred to as a "menulet"? No.
