intermittent internet connections with strange IP address on network utility

I have had intermittent internet connections that seem to b due to hardware issues, not my router or internet provider. I've talked to a mac tech person and done my own hardware checking. Now I look at Network utility and find an IP address that is connected to "Network Solutions" a business when selecting a network interface for information. This is not my router address. Could I have a compromised guest on my computer or what do you suggest before I bring in my computer for repair. Help!

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.0.x)
