what offered by Apple store if my iPhone is not working right?

I have been using my iPhone 5s for a year and one month. The charger is not working right. It sometime cannot charge and sometime not and only one charger can use. I had seen the Apple genius . I am not very clear the offer he told me because english is my second language but i can read well. Is he offer repairing my iPhone with some charge or replace a new phone to me with charge or free. Please help .
