How do I Reset my iMac (early 2008) Administrator password?
I have Lion OSX 10.7.5., Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, Graphics ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB. I did upgrade the memory years ago. I cannot connect my new wireless printer without this password, since the disk drive doesn't work either. I need step by step help or I will screw this up, thanks. My iMac is too old to get support.

This picture isn't right, it is a 24 inch desktop from early 2008. I bought it new in January 2009.
Forgot Your Account Password
For Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow
instructions in the dialog window that will appear.
