iCloud questions

I wanna use iCloud - so I go onto the icloud website, and place a few pictures into the Photo section, and voila - they're on my iPad. HOWEVER - I would like to have the opportunity to see the photos only via internet.

Like for example how Google does it. You have all of the photos in the photo app, but you can only view them when you're connected to the internet.

I don't want my photos saved on the ipad.

Any suggestions?

The closest you can get to that with iCloud Photo Library is to go to Settings > iCloud > Photos and select Optimize iPad Storage. That will result in smaller device-sized versions being stored on the device. More details at iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support There is no option to have the photos in iCloud Photo Library without being on the device. You could make the suggestion to Apple at https://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html
