Copy Pictures out of the Photos Application

Hi, I am having troubles dragging out pictures from the new Photos application on my MacBook Pro, into safari and webpages like google drive. I need to export it onto the desktop and from there drag it into google drive. Exporting it like this is a pain, especially when dealing with large numbers of photos. Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

  1. Make a Folder on your Desktop, “Exported Images”, for example
  2. Within Photos.app, click "Photos” on the left hand pane
  3. Press COMMAND+A (or Edit > Select All), to select all the images in your library.
  4. Then, File > Export > Export [number of selected images] items...
  5. Select the Desktop folder created in (1) as the destination
