did you drop the phone in water/ did it get wet when it fell?


does your signal strength indicator at the top left of the screen say Searching or No Service, or does it switch between the two?


try removing the sim card using a paperclip in the small hole at the right side of the phone, then turn it off, put the sim card back into the slot, and turn it back on.


if that doesn't work, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.


if neither of those works, you need a new phone, take it to a Genius Bar at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. Find a location and make an appointment here: locate.apple.com
