Mode stories?
i Have a 1st gen iPad mini and it is calling for a update to app called "mode stories". I have not put this app on my iPad and I don't know how to delete it. Is there any other apps that would use this app?
iPad Mini, iOS 8.3

It's listed in the US App Store so it's a valid app...
Try to delete it under: Settings/General/Usage/Storage/Manage Storage. Find it in the list that will populate, tap on the app, then tap the Delete App button.
The app doesn't show under manage storage or anywhere else. Still asking for an update though. And I wish every app in the U.S. Store was valid but thats just simply not true.
i have the same problem. I never heard of this app before in my life, and now it's asking me to update it. when I swipe down and search for it, I can't find it. when I look under my storage management, it doesn't exist. but it is telling me to update it. I haven't figured out a solution
Exactly the same happened to me yesterday: this strange app, Mode Stories, required an update, while it was never installed and is not showed up in the manage storage. I have a 1st gen ipad mini, updated to iOS 8.3 . I did not proceed to update the particular app. How can this app be downloaded / installed without user's consent? Any violation of privacy terms???
Mode Stories is an update for Foodie Recipies App. 🙂
I've had the same problem on my iPhone. When I found Mode Stories in the App Store and checked the Version History, I found it is a new, renamed version of Foodie Recipes. I deleted that app and the update vanished.
Hope this helps.
That's true, but the content of the two apps is hughly different!!!!! One is for food, the other is for something ... I can't describe!! So the update is useless !!!! Or someone is pursuing us to follow a totaly different field. I can't figure out the reason behind this update. If I install the update I'm loosing the recipes 😕. Also I dont want to delete the Foodie app. How can I stop this update from appearing??? Thanks for your answers.
