When backing up music files that includes multiple artist's versions of same song to external hard drive, why does Finder only ask to "SKIP" or "REPLACE" and not "KEEP BOTH"?
That is what happens when the files are identically named. If they are going into separate folders it will not be a problem.
Finder does this when not all files in the group fall in the duplicates category (ie, some are duplicates and some are not). If you select Skip, only the duplicates will remain. If you try these leftovers again, you'll get the Both option. Try it first on some sample files.
