Sound stopped working

I was listening to music on my headphones when the sound just stopped working on my brand-new Macbook Pro. Headphones don't work, internal speakers don't work. No light in the headphone jack.


I have tried all of the steps listed here:The sound on my Macbook doesn't work.


None of them helped, obviously.


I'm used to Apple products being more reliable than this...

MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.
