organizing by date

Is there an easy way to sort my pictures by date taken? They are in my Photos app.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

The photos in the Moments are automatically sorted by date, and for the albums you can enable the option "View > Keep Sorted by Date".

If the albums are Smart Albums you cannot sort by Date. Apparently all my albums in iPhoto were Smart Albums with criteria not supported by Photo's so now all my albums are in alphabetical order. Very frustrating.
