Scrolling Ticker Effect in Keynote

I'd like to create a "scrolling ticker" effect with text at the bottom of each slide in my presentation. I want to mimic the effect seen on CNN or other news shows in order to enhance the impact of each slide. Is there an easy way to do this within the Build Inspector or perhaps a plug-in type solution?

Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forums, Prairie Prof.

Scrolling is discussed in this discussion thread. Essentially, you can get something like what you want (just change all the vertical features to horizontal in the above thread instructions), although it is a bit of a kludge. In brief, you would type out all the scrolling text in one long single line in a text box, add lots of space at the beginning and end, shove the box all the way to the left, then have it Build In from right to left very slowly. The result is pretty good, considering.
