My mac displays the exact symptoms stated in the article. Several occurrence of such failure on February 2015, April 2015. Every event occurred showed varying symptoms, also happens unpredictably. However the most recent incident which displayed white blank screen, and turning all black.

The genius bar have told me on my second visit to them, the video card is not an issue, they recommended I leave the machine over night for a stress test, to rule out the lcd panel. All tests passed... They suggested it may be a software issue, and recommended a complete format/clean install...

After clean backup process, and the clean install, the machine shows the exact same symptom described in the replacement program article.

What is the deal? What is the most practical way to get my mac's video card replaced?

Is there a big enough community that may be facing same or similar issue as I am having?

I'd like to know what you've done to either fix this problem or if not fixed what have you tried with apple to resolve the issue?

Any thoughts or help, appreciate it.

Just book a Genius apt a your local Apple Store and take it in. No one here is going to be able to directly answer your question, we are end users just like yo therefore we cannot speak on behalf of Apple.  Apple does not read or participate in these forums.

    Good luck.
