Does BC Assistant show you the option to create a USB Installer?

I accidentally formatted my mac and installed OS X Yosemite.
I tried editing the info.plist, but everything on the internet is outdated. But it worked for me earlier before i formatted
Does your Mac have a built-in Optical drive? What year/model is your Mac?
I have an Optical Drive but its broken. My model is:
Model Name: Macbook
Model Identifier: Macbook7,1
Boot ROM Version: MB71.0039.B0E
Year: 2010
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Windows itself does not allow booting from an external drive, so what you want to do isn't possible. There is one workaround, but it's only functional with a Thunderbolt external drive.
Ok thanks
Unless you replace the internal Optical drive with a working one,
1. You can take a look at http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=20584499#post20584499.
2. You can use tools like Winclone or CampTune to clone an existing Bootcamp installation from a working Mac to yours without replacing the optical drive.
Ok I fixed it and got the option with Terminal, created the USB, but when I hold alt (Option Key) at startup, my USB doesn't show up. What can I do to solve this?
Now it does
Please ensure that you are using a USB2 device.
My Macbook has a USB 2.0 version
