My iPad was working fine in the morning then when I went to turn it on that evening nothing happened - it is dead. I have tried all buttons to get it to start but nothing. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks.

If the battery isn't/wasn't empty (it can take about 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried pressing and holding both the home and sleep buttons together for 10 to 15 seconds (or did you only press them one at a time ?), i.e. a soft-reset / reboot, to see if that gets it to boot up ?
