Samson C01U

I have tried all the tips on forums but still nothing, I can hear it but its very quiet.If I then go to System Preferences and Sound when I up the levels for in and output I just get reverb and feedback. Any ideas as Im going mad with frustration

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Im speaking about Garage Band by the way, my post was only half there

Try it with headphones and see if you still get the feedback when you turn it up.
