ApplicationsSending is "blocked".
What exactly does that mean?

Apr 23, 2015 11:00 AM in response to Linc Davisby stevenfromwoodville,Hi Linc,
This is what it says in the window
"Cannot send message using the server iCloud (iCloud)
The server response was: Blocked -- see **********
It's the same regardless of the addressee. Above is just one example.
Connection doctor, by the way, says all is OK in re: SMTP server.
Does this help at all?
Thanks
S

ApplicationsYou have a university email account as well as an iCloud account. Can you send from that?
-
Apr 23, 2015 11:06 AM in response to Linc Davisby stevenfromwoodville,As far as I'm aware, all the other active SMTP's are working, i.e., sending mail. At the moment I'm successfully using my Hotmail account from within Apple Mail, at least until this problem with iCloud gets sorted out.
Thx

Apr 23, 2015 11:20 AM in response to Linc Davisby stevenfromwoodville,I Should have mentioned that iCloud.com -- I.e., Apple webmail -- works just fine. This adds to the mystery as does the fact that the problem affects both my MacBook Air and my Mac Mini.
Thx

Now Sign back in.
Uncheck sync to Mail then add back
It's possible Apple wants you to verify your credit card info. If you prefer not to give your info see this link:

Mac OS XTry going into your Mail preferences --> accounts and choose the iCloud account. If the "TLS Certificate" option is set to "none", change it to the "com.apple. [whaever] " option.
It might not help, but it's worth a try.
